Why Track on Christianity and Confucianism?

USA and China have very different political tracks and governmental systems. What are the major differences? Let’s check on the pillars and baselines of political cultures and traditions in each country.

China, due to its 3,000-year long history, has got quite a mix for its political thoughts and operations. We can highlight on Confucianism, dynasty hierarchy, influences of western democratic thoughts and liberal values, socialism and communism.

For the US, the mainstream political culture and background include Christianity, early and modern capitalisms, democracy and freedom, and the rule of law.

Interestingly, the American culture as part of the Western culture is quite religion oriented, while China doesn't really have a religious tradition. What does a religion do to a person? It basically raises the awareness of the spiritual domain inside, helps to build some sacred belief, and also installs some self constraints and disciplines into the ways people live in daily life.

The Chinese, on the hand, although not big on religions, has always put philosophy and moral power as the top values. But the Chinese philosophy casts its attention more towards human and nature relations and individual cultivations, unlike its western counterpart that focuses more on…
